What a Day
Warning! Technical Nerd-talk Ahead...
I spent wa-a-aay too much time today poking and prodding one of my linux servers into becoming a Wiki database web maniac. Instead, it poked and prodded right back at me. I am so weary. It wasn't a linux problem. It is just that Wiki doesn't work unless you have two other applications built into it. It doesn't come built with them (no, that would make too much sense). Instead you have to build the server with PHP, and you have to build PHP with MySQL.
It's a pain in the rear.
I spent the better part of the day trying to get the pieces to like one another, to have some sort of affinity. You know to Work with one another. Be good citizens. Wiki was okay, but PHP didn't like MySQL's libraries. ::sigh:: I finally got everything compiled and built and installed, but then Wiki started acting a bit drain bamaged (if you get my drift).
By this time, it was late afternoon. My stomach was growling, there were several un-heard voicemails on my phone, and I was in no mood for anything. Grrrrrrr...
So, I'm now home with a headache and no one to bitch to. Except you. Thanks for being there.
I'm glad someone is there.
Hey, you are there, aren't you?
