The rose garden is the day's first order of business. Those flowers need a lot of water to stay healthy in this heat. This pink delight is from our front walk-way tree rose. The garden in watered in the early morning hours before the sun is up. They like to have enough water to drink before the fire of the sun beats down upon them.
Now if only I could get a better handle on all the weeds that are just as thirsty as the roses!
Tomorrow will be even more like a day in Hades. We'll probably break the century mark. It's supposed to rise further through the weekend. I can feel the sweat dripping down my face just thinking about it. We don't usually get quite this warm in June. August or September - even October tend to be our hottest months.
Will someone please tell the Powers That Be that they need to get back on the right time-table?
On the other hand, I hear the weather ain't so sweet down in Houston, either. Muggy rains and heat all at the same time ... one of the many reasons I love living on the Left Coast.
Geeze!
