Thanksgiving at our house was a peaceful house filled with cooking and laughter. The kidlets played all day, Kandy and I cooked all day, and we had a fine sit-down together. Unlike previous years when we were with lots and lots of people, this year was quite subdued. A welcome change... although we'll make up for it in the coming weeks with many parties.
Katie Rose's ten year birthday party is on Sunday, and then just as we recover from that, we are hosting a Holiday Party for friends, co-workers and neighbors at the ol' homestead. Today, December 1st, she is ten years old! Hard to believe!
She wanted a pet rat for her BD, so here is a book on rats that Megan gave her. Later, we'll go to the pet store and pick out one.
Speaking of works in progress, I have a draft post in progress about my sister's visit. It seems like it was only last week, but I think it's been nearly three weeks! Shame on me for not getting that done! Here's a picture of me and Betty with the kidlets:
