Summer is Just Around the Corner!

I cannot believe that nearly half of the year is already over. We're barely into Spring, and we're talking about what to do this summer. It all goes so quickly!

Let's see, so far ...

Friends of ours down in Texas are having a wedding reception - they got married in Canada on January 5th, but since only a few friends attended the wedding, they're having a reception in late June. I want to attend, but the last time I was in the Dallas area in June I wilted in the 90 degree heat and 90% humidity. I suppose I should put those considerations aside... We'll see.

Then in July, Kandy is flying with the girls to Ohio to visit her family. I need to stay here most of that time for projects that are due at work.

Then some time this summer I'll drive to my 81 year old Mom's house in Washington State and make sure she's doing okay. We spent last Christmas with her, and she was doing pretty well. She seems to be recovering from Dad's passing. She's a strong woman, my Mom is. Don't mess with that Lady!

What I really, really want to do is take my family to the beach for a few weeks. Lounge around, do nothing, swim, take pictures, go fishing, and read 20 books, just because I want to. Kick back and charge the ol' batteries. Aye! That's would be heaven.

Anything but work or requiring a major decision. Live like a dog in summer.
