A while back my Blogspot account was changed over to Beta. It seemed, at the time, a good idea. Boy, was I wrong. Blogspot Beta is more like Alpha release software, where stuff you really, really need to work, just plain doesn't.
Like comments.
Comments are fun. Comments give you feedback, comments feed into new ideas. I love getting comments.
Unfortunately, for me, not all my favorite bloggers are on Beta. Oh-no sireee-bob, they're still on old Blogger. What does that mean? That means that I cannot comment on their blogs, unless they've enabled Other and Anonymous postings. That means that they cannot comment on my blog, because I don't want to enable Anonymous postings. Here's what pops up if I try:
